Weather takes the win last weekend

Leading up to the Roma Turf Club winter racing carnival last weekends results were Weather 1, Racing 0, the reason for this being five meetings in the region were washed out or abandoned due to the State of the racing surface. Meetings affected were Cunnamulla, Goondiwindi, Thangool, Longreach and Dalby. These cancellations also affected the Battle of the Bush qualifying races, making it most important that this weekend’s meetings at Injune, Barcaldine, Moranbah and Cunnamulla go ahead.

The Injune Club has received fantastic nominations with over 70 horses nominated for the $68,000 prizemoney Santos Injune Cup program.

Just a precis of the prizemoney on offer over the winter racing carnival conducted by the Roma Turf Club at Bassett Park.
